Rugs basically come of two types. One is natural rugs and the other is the synthetic rugs. The synthetic rugs are very cheap as compared to the natural rugs but the life and benefits of synthetic rugs are less as compared to the natural one. Though the synthetic rugs come in many different designs, types of material and low cost there is more demand for the natural rugs. Some of the types of natural rugs are wool rugs, bamboo rugs, sisal, jute rugs, sea grass rugs, cotton rugs etc., these natural made rugs are made both by hand made and machine made.

The wool rugs are soft in nature and are very durable. Wool is being used for making rugs for many centuries and still it has its own demand in the market. The bamboos are being now used for making rugs. The strips of the bamboo are very carefully drawn from the slender and long heights of the bamboo tree and is cut to strips and waved to make rugs. The bamboo rugs are mostly found in the Japanese setting and are now used by many as a modern trend of rugs.

The Sisal rug are mostly used in tropical counties and is very durable. The fiber is made from the skin of the sisal plants and dried to make the rug. The sea grass rug is found in the swampy regions. It is made from the plank marsh grass that is found in the paddy grounds. These rugs can be bought at lower cost and are cheap rugs. The natural area rugs are made of jute, cotton fibers of different shapes and size and it is know for its usefulness and authenticity. These natural rugs remain natural for ever and in fact the value of these rugs increases as the time goes.
